The Gavalas Kolanko Foundation (GKF) is a 509 c3 public charity, established by Nicholas B. Gavalas and Dr. Ronald Kolanko to help students with disabilities reach their secondary educational goals. Mr. Gavalas and Dr. Kolanko came together to form the GKF in 1999 after becoming aware of the costly requirements for students with disabilities wishing to attend college. Most recently, The GKF was named winner of the Blue Chip Community Service Award, a prestigious recognition from the president of MassMutual Financial Group.
